Ten years of school education, two years of intermediate education and four years of engineering education-this is what the education life of a student is. It is a general belief that we get educated in schools and colleges. But are we really getting educated? Do we know the actual meaning of true education? Nowadays the students are trained intellectually but not morally, thanks to the present educational institutions that are responsible for it. Intellectual education influences the head and moral education influences the heart. True education is training of both the head and the heart. If we want to build a character in the society we must achieve a minimum level of moral and ethical literacy. Education that builds fundamental traits of character such as honesty, compassion, courage, persistence and responsibility are absolutely essential.A person who is morally educated will be a successful person than a person with excellent academic qualifications. We need to compete for knowledge and wisdom and not for grades. One could have good grades and a degree and still not learn much.It will be our sincere endeavour at Krishnamurty World School to impart quality education to the students through inculcation of Indian culture and at the same time encourage the new wave of students to be well equipped with modern educational tools and techniques for sustaining themselves in this cut-throat competitive world. Today’s students are tomorrows leaders who will be the torchbearers of the Nation. So it is the onus of the educational institutions to groom the students for the great Nation-building task. The flaming minds of today must be motivated towards a bright tomorrow, the sooner the better.
